Charlie Sherwood, President

An attorney and oil & gas professional in Denver, Charlie first visited relatives in Scotland as a child and has been active in Scottish cultural groups for over 20 years. Charlie is or has been on the Executive Board of the Tulsa Scottish Club (past-President), Colorado St Andrew’s Society, Council of Scottish Clans and Associations and Clan Scott Society (past President/Chieftain 2011-2015).


Charlie is an avid collector of Scottish Malt whisky and a co-founder of the Oklahoma Malt Whisky Society.

Julianne Kaye

 

Julianne B. Kaye, Vice President

Julianne has been a member of Clan Scott since 2022 but grew up as a member of Clan Scott. Her father, Harry Bowman was Deputy Chieftain and ran the clan tent at several of the Scottish Games all over the east coast while she competed as a premier Scottish Highland Dancer.  Since joining, she has served as the South East Commissioner and attends as many games as possible on the east coast!


Julianne is an elementary school librarian and teacher.  You can find her in the library reading and teaching research, digital citizenship and literacy skills. She is married to Gregory and they have 3 sons and a tortoise named Shelly. 

Lisa Moomaw, Member Secretary


Lisa has been a member of Clan Scott since 2003 and has been active in Scottish events since 1999. Lisa also serves as a Regional Commissioner for Clan Scott for the Mountain/West region covering Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

She loves hosting the clan tent and meeting new people and hopes to see you a future Games soon!

Ken Scott, Corporate Secretary


Ken Scott is a University of Colorado-Boulder and Harvard Law School honors graduate and international human rights lawyer.   After serving 12 years as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Justice Department and Chief of Complex Prosecutions, Ken and his wife Candy and two sons moved to The Hague, Netherlands, where he was a senior war crimes prosecutor for 14 years.   Ken led large groups of international lawyers, investigators, military analysts, language assistants and others in large, complex investigations and prosecutions, successfully litigating major war crimes cases in multiple trials and proceedings involving thirteen prominent war criminals, including a prime minister, defense minister, two chiefs of the General Staff, the head of the military police, a regional governor, other senior military commanders and a regional warlord.    For this work, Ken was awarded the Mostar Peace Prize (with previous recipients including Nelson Mandela, Vaclav Havel and Jacques Chirac) and was a Wasserstein Fellow at Harvard Law School.  

Since returning to Denver some years ago, Ken has carried on a wide-ranging international human rights practice, also prosecuting at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.  Ken has been part of the Clan Scott Society for many years, previously serving as the Colorado Commissioner, International Commissioner and Corporate Secretary, and was an organizer of the successful 2009 Scott Gathering at Bowhill and in the Borders, Scotland.

Camden Kaye, Treasurer

Camden and his family are longtime members of Clan Scott, and Camden is the grandson of former Deputy Chieftain and Clan Piper, Harry Bowman. A student at the University of South Carolina studying Political Science and History, Camden is an aspiring law student and is active with many political entities and organizations on campus. Camden is excited to bring his talents to Clan Scott and to help wherever possible!

Sue Anne Ramsey, Member at Large

 

 

A Member of Clan Scott Society since 1988, Sue Anne was appointed State Commissioner in 1990 and in later years served as S.E. Regional and on various committees. Currently, Sue Anne is leading Clan Scott’s Genealogy initiatives.

 

 

Sue Anne was a Registered Nurse of Medical Cardiology at Emory University Hospital & Mayo Clinic. Now retired, Sue Ann is dedicated to continuing her lifetime study of Fine Arts, History, and Genealogy.

Lee Bruner

Lee Bruner, Member at Large

Throughout her youth, Lee Bruner’s father regaled her with stories about her connection with Clan Scott, but it was not until her daughter wanted to learn bagpipes and highland dance that Lee sought out clan tents at Highland games. Lee has been a member of Clan Scott since 2016. She is the Mid-Atlantic Commissioner, but travels throughout the United States and Canada to support her daughter at Scottish dance competitions.  


When not driving her two children around, Lee is an elementary school librarian in Northern Virginia. She has also taught high school social studies and worked as a youth services public librarian for many years
